What sets me apart from other web designers? Honestly its the price and the personal touch. I have a full time job doing armed security so I don't really NEED the money so I can defer the cost. But honestly its not even about the money. I love what I do, and moreover, I love people helping people. I have bartered a lot of services with my clients. I've also created amazing websites that should have cost my clients hundreds if not thousands for $100 or less. I half-jokingly say, "Champagne taste on a fast food budget" because I create amazing websites for a fraction of what they should cost. But moreover I love the reaction of my clients when we launch a site, and they know that they had a large hand in the way it looked. I involve them every step and decision along the way. Sometimes its tedious what they have to do but at the end of the project they say "THIS SITE IS ME"! I started out $300 for any website (exception of e-commerce or sites with a lot of forms). I realized I was catering to the middle to upper-middle-class people with those prices. I saw it as a mission to help the person who can't afford the website but wants to be their own boss, or offer a product to help people, or just needed a personal website. Someone I was once acquainted with who runs a fitness studio in the next city up from me calls it a ministry what she does. I guess I could say the same. I want to show that good people exist, that random acts of kindness happen, and that websites aren't for people with money. People helping people =)
