Webbie is a company that aims to integrate offline and online shopping. To do so, Webbie wants to focus on bringing back live shopping from the 80s (which was highly successful) and integrate that with a more modern and user friendly platform. Webbie is based in The Netherlands and it firstly wants to start by growing local stores to local customers. This does mean that it will also target some parts of Belgium as both are relatively close and have easy delivery operations. Now you may be asking why such a platform is needed. The goal of Webbie is built up upon three pillars that tackle three major issues underlying in today's ecommerce industry. Growing local stores, increasing consumer purchase confidence, and providing interactive and informative feedback for consumers. Webbie's platform is the solution to all of this. It allows local physical stores in one city to gain exposure to customers in other cities across the country who have never heard of the store before. By having live streams, consumers can ask questions about the product to gain deeper insight as well as build trust with the merchant. This solves the other two pillars.
