WebSurg is the online university of IRCAD. It is a free website dedicated to medical and surgical training, specialized in minimally invasive surgery. This website has been launched by Professor Jacques Marescaux and his team in 2000. It has been created by surgeons for surgeons, and quickly became the international online reference for surgical training in minimally invasive surgery also thanks to the industrial partners Karl Storz and Medtronic.With almost 390,000 members coming from over 254 countries worldwide, WebSurg is one of the biggest community of surgeons worldwide.The website is available on every device (computers, mobile phones, Apple TV, etc.), and in 7 languages: French, English, Spanish, Chinese (traditional and simplified), Portuguese and Russian. WebSurg monthly published multimedia content on the website, along 10 specialties and 5 technologies: general and digestive surgery, pediatric surgery, thoracic surgery, robotic surgery, telemicrosurgery, etc. Everything is done directly at IRCAD France (Strasbourg), whether it is the edition of surgical operations or the creation of medical illustrations.
