Wellbridge Addiction Treatment and Research will take an innovative approach to substance use disorder (SUD) treatment. It will bring together evidence-based treatment and state-of-the-art research, along with a partnership with Northwell Health. This unique combination will allow Wellbridge to provide a full continuum of care, guided by the best available science, to address the chronic nature of addiction. The program will consist of a residential campus, outpatient services, extended chronic disease management, and support via digital platforms. Due to this unique combination, patients and families will receive high-quality addiction, medical, psychiatric, and family services provided by a multidisciplinary team of specialists with expertise in addressing co-occurring disorders. And this care will be informed by the latest scientific discoveries in SUD treatment. Residential treatment will take place on a purpose-driven 40-acre campus currently under construction in Calverton, NY. In addition to the residential program and the research center, the campus will include a wellness center, an art barn, gathering areas, gardens, and more. It is expected to be completed in 2019. Outpatient facilities are also being planned for Manhattan, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties.
