It all started on a chilly day in 1999. Dr. Wendell Becton was working as a team physician at a high school football game. The realization set in that if required he would have to perform medical care in frigid conditions. Dr. Becton thought to himself that a hoodie with a turtleneck built in would help to protect against wind and cold air far better than the average hoodie. It was then and there that the concept for the TURTLEHOODIE was born.It is Dr. Becton's hope to expand the Wendell Walton Clothing Company so that it is recognized nationwide one day. Until then, he continues to promote his two original TURTLEHOODIE designs.
