West Coast Expos, Inc. has been producing consumer shows since 1983 and includes: West Coast Pilot's Expo, West Coast Business Expo, Health and Fitness Expo, the LA Computer Fair and New Technology Expo. The founder and CEO, Robert Kushner, was also the founder of PC Ware, Inc. in 1976, which manufactured some of the first personal computer products. A mailing to the 200 dealers and 30,000 customers was all it took to start the first computer show, April 13, 1983 at the San Mateo Fairgrounds. There were 200 exhibitors and 3000 attendees. The show grew and was held in several locations nationwide, with 250,000 attendees and 6000 booths sold annually. New Technology Expo is the first and only consumer show that includes all types of technology with the purpose of educating the end user about the features of new products. Other annual shows are being planned which include: Los Angeles, Seattle, Salt Lake City, Denver, Atlanta, Phoenix, Philadelphia, New York, New Orleans, Orlando, Houston and Chicago.
