The West Midlands region has six individual Chambers that focus on their specific regions: Birmingham, Black Country, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire, and Coventry and Warwickshire.In addition, there is the West Midlands International Trade LLP, part of West Midlands Chambers of Commerce LLP – a complementary organisation that has a different remit within the business sphere. Incorporated in 2006 we are a partnership of all six Chambers acting as a single point of contact for organisations who wish to deliver business support across the region. We have access to a market reach of more than 140,000 of businesses across the West Midlands area. Our proven model of programme design and delivery – we have successfully delivered projects in excess of £30m over the last five years – means we are the first choice for many organisations to partner with.An individual entity, We are a recognised brand within the business community and are a delivery partner for both the public and private sectors. As one of 9 contracted delivery partners for the Department for International Trade (DIT), our primary role is to support businesses that want to increase their exporting opportunities.We deliver a wide range of workshops and masterclasses, conferences, trade events, educational programmes and organise and deliver a range of overseas visits for West Midlands businesses so that they can expand their networks, meet with potential customers and learn about their target markets..WMIT advises on trade policy and strategy together with practical support to the LEPs and their Growth Hubs, as well as working to connect businesses via the Chamber network. Critical to this is supporting LEP international trade agendas.
