West Phil (short for Western Sydney Philharmonic) aims to bring students and professional performers together, to learn from each other and to create thrilling, dynamic and memorable performances.What started off as an idea to give the young people of western Sydney an opportunity to learn and play incredible music, is now the Western Sydney Philharmonic - western Sydney's very own orchestra.We do this through youth-oriented training programmes culminating in performances that captivate our audiences, as well as other one-off performances and events.And because we're a not-for-profit charity on the Register of Cultural Organisations, all the money we make is put back into West Phil for the benefit of young, potential musicians of western Sydney and elsewhere.If you're enchanted by music, come to one of our concerts or please get in touch.
