For 31 years, Western Carolina Rescue Ministries (WCRM) has met the needs of the poor, homeless, and needy in Western North Carolina. WCRM provides food, shelter, counseling, residential recovery, & alcohol recovery to help the economically disadvantaged and individuals battling drug addiction. WCRM's current programs are divided into 3 core areas: Rescue, Recovery, and Restoration. "Rescue" includes providing food, shelter, and clothing for the poor & homeless. "Recovery" includes a 12-month drug/alcohol addiction recovery program. "Restoration" includes helping residents get back on their feet through job skills training, job connections/posted openings, and transport to job centers.
