Western Continental began in 2016 as a creative outlet to help decision makers understand what will differentiate branding, services and amenities in Senior Living, Multi-family and Hospitality. It's been our goal to communicate that the lines of distinction between these enterprises are nearly erased. Translating that to integrated market opportunities will prove to be the difference between sufficient development and excellence in development. When we started Western Continental we were exhausted by inferior sites, strategically stagnant project cycles, devoid of critical collaboration, and clamoring to mimic popular design. Design is the easy part. Site selection and designing to an innovative program have become the exception, but doing that through the entire project cycle is lightning in a bottle. It's the kind of thing that only happens when the right people are around the table.Speed to market, absorption rate, design and financial performance are typically crippled by a delivery process that stops the freight train for one uncoordinated VE exercise after another. This begs the question, can you afford to hire the same team you've always hired? Can you afford another design that gets stripped down to nothing? When you factor in your customer acquisition cost and absorption rate, how did your investment really perform? Did you put pearls on a pig to get it to fill up, only to see high attrition for end users? What about your operations team, what's their attrition rate? It's all baked into the cake with the team you put around the table. The big question is do you have the internal talent that understands this and the passion to build a team and a program that rewards you and your investors? If you're still reading this and not contacting us it's because you think it's too late in your project cycle to take corrective action, or you can't find a site. The wind is at your back with all the capital you need, but you're still losing sleep. Stop losing sleep.
