The Western New York Public Health Alliance (WNYPHA) is a regional public health partnership comprised of eight county health departments in Western New York: Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans, and Wyoming, along with partners from the community.The WNYPHA has partnerships and collaborations with local health departments, community-based organizations, health care and academic institutions throughout the 8 counties of WNY. We receive financial support from government and private sources which allows us to make our programs and resources available throughout the service area.Our VisionImprove the health, safety and wellness of our eight county Western New York Region.Our MissionLead the development of public and private sector partnerships and collaborations to efficiently coordinate resources for improving the health status and safety of populations in our Western New York region through public health surveillance, education, prevention and intervention.Our HistoryOriginally established in 1992 as the Western New York Public Health Coalition, the partnership has grown over the years, leading to the eventual incorporation of the WNYPHA as a 501(c)(3) organization.
