WestSpring Advisors, LP ("WestSpring" or "WSA") was founded by Ralph Nacey and Eric Phillipps (the "Principals") for the purpose of managing fixed income strategies. Messrs. Nacey and Phillipps have worked closely together since 2002. They began managing fixed income portfolios with a long/short proprietary trading portfolio for Merrill Lynch, and then later founded Brigadier Capital Management, LLC ("Brigadier"). From June of 2006 until February of 2009, Mr. Nacey and Mr. Phillipps generated exemplary risk adjusted returns for Brigadier Master Fund. Furthermore, the Fund's 2008 performance earned the fund Creditflux's "Best Credit Long-Short Relative Value Fund of 2008" honors. WestSpring currently serves as the investment manager ("Investment Manager") for WestSpring Master Fund, Ltd, WestSpring Fund Ltd, and WestSpring Fund, LP, collectively, the "Funds". Messrs. Nacey and Phillipps have formed WestSpring Advisors with an initial investment into the offshore fund from FRM Capital Advisors ("FCA"). In 2010, WestSpring and its Principals were recognized by both Institutional Investor Magazine and the Hedge Fund Journal. Ralph Nacey was named 1 of 31 "Rising Stars of Hedge Funds" in June 2010 by Institutional Investor whereas WestSpring was named 1 of 40 "Blue Chip Managers of the Next Decade" by the Hedge Fund Journal in association with Ernst and Young.
