Weymouth Food Pantry is one of the oldest food pantries in Massachusetts, and has provided hunger relief services in Weymouth, Massachusetts for over thirty years. Today, we provide free groceries to approximately 3,600 people in Weymouth at any given time, distributing over 350,000 pounds of food per year. Between 200-350 families visit us each week to meet their food needs, and we are able to help thanks to the generosity of our 150+ volunteers who help sort, transport, and distribute donated food products, and foods we have procured. At our Pantry, we strive to offer easy to access solutions, and programs targeted to address specific needs and vulnerable populations, particularly seniors and children. Our food is procured through generous community donations and food drives. Financial support allows us to purchase high nutrient quality food through the Greater Boston Food Bank, local food distributors, and local farms. In a community where 1 in 10 residents struggles to afford food, we are here to help through pop-up pantries, grocery delivery to home-bound elders and people with disabilities, at the farmers market, in local schools, and through teaching basic home gardening skills. Our mission: To end hunger in Weymouth.
