International Trade & Development - London, England, United Kingdom
In the years following my first role in the international development, aid and philanthropy sector in 2013, I began to notice a significant disparity between the idea that people are central to the aims of the organisations and the process of hiring, engaging and retaining the people we have specifically sought out. Through dedicated interventions in project and proposal hiring, Wharton Crossley, can enhance fair, efficient and diverse recruitment practices.I am continually encouraged and inspired by the many individuals I have had the privilege of working alongside. Hoping that I can apply this same dedication to ensuring the sector continues to build on those that have done so before. With that in mind, I hold myself to high ethical standards which underpin my pursuit of making an impact on hiring and resource management in this sector in innovative and sustainable ways.My great-great-great grandfather, Sir Titus Salt, was a Victorian philanthropist who built the village of Saltaire in West Yorkshire to improve the lives of his workers. I am inspired by his mission and proud to continue on his work in my own way three generations later (despite my lack of resources to build a village!). Wharton Crossley is a tribute to his legacy.
