What's Your Favorite Animal?'s supplier is Immtec's case maker and the supplier is the original designer of these items--a family that settled on the U.S. west coast just before the handover of Hong Kong to China so that they could continue to live in democracy. The inferior knock-offs made in a Chinese factory entered the New York market before I came to represent the inventor of the items. As the inventor their product line keeps growing, whereas the counterfeiter is counterfeiting only the older designs because the counterfeither hasn't a designer. The counterfeiting problem arose through industrial espionage in the U.S. The knock-offs aren't any cheaper in price than What's Your Favorite Animal?'s prices, but they are made of inferior leather, lower quality tanning dyes and shortcuts were taken in production so that they fall apart quickly.
