Astrong body of evidence demonstrates that research insights about behavior, when incorporatedinto the design of Federal programs and policies, have significantly improved Americans' lives, whether by boosting retirement savings nationwide or helping more low-income students get tocollege each year.Building on this work, in 2014, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy assembledthe Social and Behavioral Sciences Team (SBST)—a cross-agency group of experts in appliedbehavioral science that translates findings and methods from the social and behavioral sciencesinto improvements in Federal policies and programs. The Social and Behavioral Sciences TeamAnnual Reports represent SBST's successful efforts to apply behavioral insightsto Federal policy and to measure the impact of these applications on key policy outcomes usingrigorous evaluations. While no longer active, you can read about the work of SBST at https://sbst.gov.
