We are a debt collection law firm located in Plymouth, Massachusetts. We represent large institutional businesses and small working professionals. If you have outstanding invoices, time is of the essence.For years the general practice of debt collecting was to forward over delinquent receivables to a debt collection agency. This agency would get paid on a contingency basis of recovered money. The problem with this formula is that many of these claims need to get sent to a law firm to institute suit, whether it being in small claims court or in the district or superior courts here in Massachusetts. Collection Agencies DO NOT want to refer those claims over to law firms. It is against their nature as their profit gets reduced, if not eliminated. Debt collectors will hold on to claims for months if not years longer than they should. By the time the law firm receives the old debt, it is typically too late. The individual/entity has spent everything paying the other creditors that moved more quickly OR they are in the process of filing bankruptcy. We begin every claim with the same cost and time effectiveness of a collection agency with the standard letters and phone calls, however we have the ability as a law firm to quickly file suit when necessary. This results in claims being paid more quickly and in full. While every client is different, generally we work on a contingency basis. You are not billed for the hours of communications or our time in court in order to recover for you. If for some reason the debt is not collectible, you pay nothing for our efforts.
