Trained at Bastyr University, Dr. Layton completed a residency in Integrative Family Medicine with a focus on Functional Medicine in 2007. Since then, she has been in private family practice, supporting the health and wellbeing of people of all ages. Her practice focuses on the support of women, especially healthy fertility, perimenopause and aging. This inevitably includes the care of children and partners, husbands and parents. Dr. Layton is a certified course instructor for the Benson Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital's Stress Management and Resiliency Training (SMART) Program. This course provides time outside office visits to review current research into the impact stress has on health and wellbeing and teach people how to identify the impact of different stressors, and make a positive change.
