Whyixd is a cross-field art installation design team from Taiwan. We have members come from art/architecture/design/engineering/mechanical fields. We collaborate with dance/architecture/pop music/modern art partners. Whyixd focus on different kinds of surprise and explore more imagination in daily life. We break the barrier of 2 dimensions world with new media, presenting more body experience to audience. We build immersive illusions, make it snow in tropical area, sprinkle a handful of petal into silent space. Displace the time and space, copy the natural scenery, capture the moments of mind, create unseen experience, build digital landscape. In 2011, Whyixd acquired the subsidy of Taiwan ministry of culture by cooperating with Yilab's "W.A.V.E" and VM Studio's "emptied memories", these two shows which also earned the Golden medal of World stage design 2013. Later in the same year, our work "Skylight" was invited to the concert tour of Andy Lau(famous actor in Asia) in 2013. In 2016, the series of works "TransLight; transparency landscaping" received attention from many media. Not only be chosen as the must visit landmark by Shanghai tourism bureau, but also be invited by Taiwan Lantern Festival in 2018, as theme of light installation. In the same year, the same series of works were also invited to the 53rd golden bell award ceremony (like emmy award of Taiwan), became the first kinetic artwork live broadcasted on television in Taiwan. In the end of the same year, again inspired by this series, we were invited to the NCTU and built a moon shape art work-"#define Moon_".The works of Whyixd is continually appearing in many different cities in the world. The work "X-land", which is one of the "Spectrum light" series woks, was first announced at QCC Art Gallery, New York, 2018. After that this series were invited to Taiwan golden pin design awards as a main art installation.
