In 1945 brothers Charles and Cyrus Wightman climbed into Charlie's Ford Model A pickup truck and drove to Laurens, New York for their first logging and milling job. With little more than an Ireland sawmill, a Cleartrack Crawler tractor and a drive to succeed, Wightman Specialty Woods was born.
