Art from the heart of the wilderness is the essence behind Wilderness Wonders gallery. Tony Newlin is the genius behind Wilderness Wonders who began to explore photography as a means to capture and share the inspiring wilderness with magical natural light illuminating a single moment in time. The result is a unique wilderness moment never to be duplicated. Tony did not receive any formal photographic training and is hesitant to take too much credit for his images after all; nature did all the hard work. Originally journeying down a technology and business road, his passion for experience wilderness shaped his destination. Each photograph portrays a unique and authentic wilderness image. He simply strives to share nature as he experienced it. He doesn't use filters, captive animals, artificial light, or digital manipulation and the result is truly unique among nature photographers. Because he understands and appreciates the threats our wilderness is facing so he donates 5% of profits to organizations working to preserve wilderness. Images are offered in two different types: Traditional photographs printed on photographic paper (not inkjet or any other inferior product) and Giclee images which are photographs printed in canvas. A Giclee is a printing of a photographic image into a canvas medium. In this case, Bullfrog Fine Art Glossy Canvas is used. The canvas is acid free, non-yellowing and will hold true to colors for over 100 years when displayed under proper conditions. The finished product is hand coated for water proofing with varnish to help protect the image.
