Elizabeth Gritzmacher and Vera Hyatt are the birth professionals and creative partners behind the Wildwood Birth Collective. We are labor and postpartum doulas and a birth photography and videography team in Portland, Oregon, and it would be our honor to help support and document your transition to parenthood.As doulas, we work to create a community of support around birthing people and their families during pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postpartum period. We offer emotional, physical, and evidence-based informational support and help to empower our clients to give birth on their terms. As artists, we are interested in the myriad paths people take to parenthood. We seek to celebrate the power of all bodies and spirits that bring new life into the world, whatever their journeys look like. Our work shines a light in a historically darkened and silent space, to show the unrivaled power, rawness, and truth in the moment of birth, and the power and importance of our communities of support before, during, and after.
