Wiilowell is a non-profit organization based on 230 acres in Monkton Vermont that creates programs that explore the synergy between farming, community, ecology and education. It hosts many school programs on its land - the nation's first outdoor hight school the Walden Project - a collaboration with Vergennes High School, farm to school projects built around the Willowell Garden, the Pond Brook Restoration project, which involves hundreds of Vermont school children who learn about wetland ecology and plant native trees to restore wild-life habitat and reduce phosphorus run-off, animal tracking programs, artist residencies and much more.
