WHO do we serve?This group is ideal for anyone who self-identifies as a woman with a new endeavor (often a business, but could be a creative side project, work project, non-profit, ambitious life goal) and values generosity and authenticity. WHAT do we do?We facilitate FREE opportunities for supportive conversation among like-minded women doing big things in the world. Our events are FREE and informal. We host events wherein women can "let their hair down", ask real questions and get real feedback or support from others who have shared a similar experience. We primarily host in-person networking events (yoga pants welcome!) which include snacks and, yes, wine! Or another favorite drink to share ;) These events are currently located only in Omaha, Nebraska.We also offer online Mastermind small groups for those who want a deeper accountability on a subject area for a short burst of time (typically 3-6 months) and a Slack community to continue conversations, ask for support, shamelessly ask for social media boosts (heyooo), share resources, etc. These online groups are available to anyone around the globe!WHY do women need this?W.I.N.E. was founded by Kate White in fall of 2018 when she was in the middle of fundraising for a startup. The group started informally among a group of startup founders in Omaha, Nebraska. Some were just starting to shape their idea, some were raising investment funds, some had been operational for years, but all were looking for a community of like-minded women who they could "be real" with and share experience. The group grew from a few people on a meeting invite in 2018 to 75+ "members" in the Omaha metro within a few months. We met monthly in-person in 2019, monthly online in 2020 and into 2021 and will be meeting in-person again starting in fall of 2021. We are simply a community that facilitates supportive conversation. We aim to be free forever, save the cost of a bottle of wine ;)
