WIP Renewable Energies, founded in 1968, is a small- and medium-sized enterprise (SME) whose mission is to bridge the gap between research and implementation of renewable energy systems. The company focuses on two core activities: Participation in international projects in the field of renewable energy & Organization of major international events such as the yearly European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference (EUPVSEC)WIP was already at the forefront of innovation in renewables in 1981, when it took part in the first PV Pilot Plant projects in Europe under the second Energy R+D Programme of the European Commission.
