Use Wipe-Rite Sterile Technologies...Stop over 250,000 IV Related Bloodstream Infections, and Reduce Medical Malpractice Claims. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) calls these deaths and illnesses completely preventable. They call them "never events." Yet, in 2008-2009 ICU inpatient wards and outpatient hemodialysis centers alone had more than 78,000 cases of central line-associated blood stream infections (CLABSIs). About 25% of those patients die from these infections. These preventable infections cost hospitals more than $9 billion annually in non-reimbursed litigation costs. Now there is a better way to stop infections from improperly cleaned IV equipment. It will also reduce the associated costs and legal liability to healthcare organizations.
