Sometimes, you just can't imagine where your creativity and passion will take you!Imagine my surprise when I was contacted by the Museum of Modern Art last spring. Shock might be a more accurate way to describe how I felt when I read the email I received.I'm extremely honored and proud to have had my work - a creative and modern beaded, wire kippah - featured at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) exhibit, "Items: Is Fashion Modern."Designing with wire and beads just makes me happy. Of course, my family, my big slobbery Newf and adorable Quaker Parrot also make me happy!But...there's something special about creative self-expression.As much as I love wearing a hat to shul, I really don't love the way my hair looks squished afterwards. When I realized that a beautiful, hand-made kippah or "kissui" was an alternative to wearing at hat at shul, it made my day!Even better, each kippah is uniquely one-of-a-kind, beautiful and wired-up naturally.
