Wisepower spun-off in 2007 from the research activity of NiPSLab in University of Perugia, directed by Prof.Luca Gammaitoni. While they were researching a better way to absorb vibrations for VIRGO gravitational waves detector, Prof. Gammaitoni and Prof. Vocca created a vibrations absorber very much more efficient than tradtional ones. Wisepower adds the conversion of vibrational energy into electrical energy to this, creating electrical generators for small portable devices and sensors. The invention was patented, and only Wisepower can exploit the technology, which allows us to create energy tranducers up to 400% more efficient than our competitors.
