Women Enterprise Solutions (WESO) is a microfinance institution that was founded and incorporated in Kenya in the year 2009 after the realization that the way to mitigate the challenges faced by the Kenyan woman in every facet of her life is to empower her economically. Our mission is to promote the social and economic well being of women in Kenya. We pursue a triple bottom-line (returns) of social (lifting women out of poverty), financial (sustainability) and environmental returns (reclaiming and protection of our environment).The focus of WESO is to develop and provide innovative, affordable, accessible and pro-poor credit and training services to women who would want to start and/or grow their businesses, while maintaining a profitable institution operating on sound business principles. We believe that with the necessary support women can rise from poverty to a life of affluence, influence, purpose and dignity. We envision a future where our women clients are owners of large successful enterprises in Kenya and beyond.Indeed, ‘Together we can'!
