Women In Labour is an impact-driven media property focused on women and work, which explores the power of comedy and entertainment to engage new audiences on critical social issues. We launched in India with a 20-part podcast and event series hosted by one of India's top comedians, Aditi Mittal, along with filmmaker Christina MacGillivray. The WIL podcast is a freewheeling, no-holds-barred, conversation that asks why women are disappearing from India's workforce, why it is a serious issue, and what we can do about it. We tackle taboo topics related to women, work, family, power and everything between. The podcast hosts a roster of guests from journalists and filmmakers to IAS officers, social scientists, economists, entrepreneurs and opinion-makers. Through anecdotes of incredible personal journeys, we unpack the big questions including: ‘Why do women do the most unpaid work in the world?', ‘What's stopping us from finding our inner boss?', ‘Why do we preface our work emails with "I was just wondering..."?' And the big one: 'What's keeping us away from India's workplacesNew episodes on Tuesday and Saturday.
