Women's Philanthropic Investment Group (WPIG) was founded in January 2008 by a group of women who wanted to give back to the community both financially and physically, invest in the future and educate themselves. WPIG of Seattle is comprised of a talented group of women. Their varying education and interests create a unique blend that fuels a passion for helping others. WPIG of Seattle is incorporated in the State of Washington as a non-profit organization, and is registered with with the Washington Secretary of State as a Charitable Solicitations Fund. WPIG has recently received IRS approval to be recognized as a 501(c)(3) exempt organization. Our group meets monthly to discuss our annual charity, quarterly volunteer opportunities, and collect dues. WPIG starts the year off by presenting charities that align with our mission. The group designates one charity as our WPIG annual beneficiary. Our annual beneficiary, if local, receives volunteer time in addition to philanthropic donations. Our annual event earnings are split 50/50 between our current beneficiary and future WPIG charities. Invested in helping women and children move from places of need to self-sufficiency and stability through advocacy, outreach and charitable giving.
