Women face many injustices and inequalities globally, both in terms of economic factors and human rights. An often overlooked aspect of this phenomenon is their health. For example, the World Health Organization points out that "maternal mortality has barely changed since 1990."This fact points to the great need for a specific focus on women's health issues. For this reason, when the members of the Women and Health Task force (Women Saver Foundation) Management Committee sat down to discuss creation of a Women Saver Foundation Conference, they knew it was a crucial matter.Basic goal of Women Saver Foundation is to help underprivileged women and children – make them stand on their feet – and have respectable lives. Foundation is committed to working in following major fields to empower the role of disadvantaged women and children:Eradication of Poverty, Hunger and HomelessnessThese issues are interrelated. Nearly 39 percent of Pakistanis live in multidimensional poverty, with the highest rates of poverty in F.A.T.A. and Balochistan. In Pakistan, progress across different regions of is uneven. Urban area poverty is 9.3 percent as compared to 54.6 percent in rural areas. Provinces also suffer from disparities. Being a poor woman causes social exclusion. The system of family hierarchy and relationships is such that women are usually excluded from owning public assets. They do not enjoy decision-making powers. Mostly, women of rural and urban areas live in domestic space and their area of functioning is related to fulfillment of family needs. Women Saver Foundation aims to empower women economically so they could fulfill their material needs, pull out of poverty and have appropriate shelter for living. Please Visit my Website: http://www.womensaver.org/
