Please visit the Below Your Belt page to stay current on content and updates from our team. \\Below Your Belt, L3C, is a social enterprise established to inform, educate, and inspire girls from 3 – 23 to understand and own their pelvic health. BYB's first project is to take its award-winning and evidence-based content and create a digital platform for tween and teen youths and their grown-ups - their parents, teachers, and healthcare providers.\\Below Your Belt is creating a technology platform targeted to girls ages 10 - 14, based on the content from our multiple award-winning book, Below Your Belt: How To Be Queen Of Your Pelvic Region. Here is where we can pave the way for girls to experience pelvic health positively and actively - as well as shift the trajectory of pelvic healthcare costs of largely preventable issues.\\Pelvic health encompasses the parts of the body "below the belt" usually overlooked in general health and sex education classes. Bladder health, bowel health, ovulation, periods, hygiene, nutrition, and exercise all contribute to the health of the pelvic region. With a Below Your Belt app, a young girl's comfort level with her own anatomy and its many functions will put her in the driver's seat of her health and wellness.\\BYB will give moms and daughters a way to talk to each other about sensitive topics such as leaking urine and chronic constipation. Girls will be able to track hydration, track periods (without an emphasis on fertility), find ways to alleviate cramps, make better food choices that support pelvic health, and engage muscles seldom if ever identified as helping in everything from sports to posture. Our published study reveals that a high number of girls experience symptoms of pelvic health disorders early on. The more they are recognized, discussed, and acted upon, the better quality of life a girl can expect to have as the grows into adulthood.
