WomenTalkTech began with two women, one shared thought, and their discovery that many women and event organizers around the globe were thinking the same thing.Inspired by the engaged, vibrant online community for Web Summit's women in tech, Jessika Lynch posted in the event's WIT Facebook group wondering why there weren't more women on tech stages. There were over 400 reactions from female voices attesting that there are, indeed, great women speakers out there - including Maartje Blijleven, whose passion for diversity in tech matched Jessika's...and WomenTalkTech was born.WomenTalkTech is born out of a need to have more women on stages and represented in leadership in tech. We believe in great ideas fueling innovation and that diversity breeds great, different, out-of-the-box thinking.WomenTalkTech welcomes women in tech, event organizers, tech companies and others interested in promoting diversity and developing more female speakers in tech.
