WordSmooth can strengthen your organization with clear, compelling, and culturally competent communications.Creative Director and Owner Patty previously was the Training Director for the Greater Dallas Community Relations Commission, and she has worked in the field of multi-cultural relations for over 20 years, providing inclusion consultation and training for a number of organizations in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Harvesting Respect learning program clients include Highland Park, Garland, Irving, Frisco, Mesquite, and Birdville ISDs; Jesuit College Prep School; Dallas Academy; Head Start of Greater Dallas; American Camp Association; and Dallas County Juvenile Department. She coordinates the Culture Club at Dallas Academy, working with students to create monthly bulletin boards that highlight the contributions of marginalized groups.WordSmooth also offers culturally competent writing and editing, specializing in grant proposals and reports for nonprofit organizations. We also develop web content, press releases, and review PR campaigns for cultural competence. Writing clients include Dallas Children's Theater, Dallas Academy, Foundation for Laughter, North Texas Alliance to Reduce Unintended Pregnancy in Teens, City House, Teatro Dallas, Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas, The Innovation Institute, and Lone Star Circus.
