Working Party on Tax & Legal Matters (WPOTLM) is a research body founded in April 2016 by a group of passionate professionals and academics, with different backgrounds in the field of national and international tax law. The strategic composition of the group is the result of strict selections based on two fundamental pillars: excellency and merit. Indeed, all the Research Fellows are outstanding professionals within leading national and international tax law firms, as well as students, academic fellows, or professors of ranked LL.M. programs throughout the world. WPOTLM sinks its roots in a multidisciplinary approach based on the higher standards in terms of quality, communication and information technologies, and confidentiality. As a result, all the Research Fellows have been implementing common best practices as well as strong relationships and interactions with leading international law firms, institutions, and academic bodies both from a professional and a personal perspective. In light of the continuous and swift evolution of the international tax provisions and regulations, the said modus operandi must be strongly linked to a solid multicultural environment. Hence, giving rise to an international research body, cannot be disregarded from a deep understanding of outstanding international databases and other sources of information. The mission of the group is to investigate new tax law and tax policy issues to give rise to different outcomes, among which: drafting articles, academic essays and technical papers in collaboration with leading publishers and newspapers; advising institutions and academic bodies dealing with bespoke tax policy issues and/or while drafting legislative proposals; participation as panelist or lecturer to national and international tax events; promote the activities of the group aiming to create a stronger network full of talented tax professionals and academics.
