Worksite Chaplains is a Cleveland, OH based organization that practices a ministry of presence. We are at the disposal of the employee to listen and not to pass judgment. We are paid by the company, but work for the employee as a means of support while improving morale and production at the organization. We are kind, compassionate, caring and trained to listen. As such we are skilled at providing the assistance an employee needs to confront and work out problems, issues and concerns. That's what we are. Here's what we're not: We are not an EAP provider, but we act as independent guides, trained in the art of listening. We do not conflict with the Human Resources department, but rather we take on the onus of an employee's struggles so that HR can do what they're best trained to do. We're here to listen to employees — but only if they want to talk. It's completely up to the employee to engage with the Chaplain. And when they do engage, it's completely up to the employee to decide the depth of the conversation. The Chaplain simply lets the employee lead the relationship and offers availability and consistency. Chaplains are present to help employees and their families by providing neutral, nurturing, unbiased and consistent care. Worksite Chaplains' aim is to provide the onsite mechanism for the employee to talk about their problems in a safe, trusted environment, where they can lay out their issues and spend time engaging in a type of conversation that will provide a means for healing, using their own thought-out solutions.
