Founded in 2020, World University Peace Assembly (WUPA) is an international youth-run, non-governmental, non-profit initiative that connects university students and young professionals from all nationalities together for solidarity, kindness and positive social changes. We promote world peace by facilitating cross-cultural interactions and promoting effective altruism among university students. As a team of over 50 youths from different countries, we cooperate with universities, youth organizations and non-governmental organizations worldwide to bridge students from all cultures together. WUPA is politically neutral, non-aligned and non-denominational with no political affiliations. We do not represent students of a particular country. We have no affiliations with the effective charities recommended to our buddies either. We choose them simply because of their effectiveness and relevance to solving world critical issues. WUPA's flagship programme, Lockdown Lounge International Buddy Programme, aims to improve students' wellbeing during COVID-19 crisis, promote cross-cultural friendship and world peace and connect students with effective charities to combat the spread of COVID-19 across the world. Our service is all free and voluntary.
