Worthy Homes is a family business dating back to 1960 and started off as Lionel and Dans. The name changed to the present one in 1985.We have been operating in Port Elizabeth since 1960 starting with painting and renovations of all state buildings namely schools, hospitals, prisons etc. We started constructing low cost housing in Motherwell, Kwadwesi and Kwamaqxaki in 1985. We built approximately 600 houses in Motherwell, Kwadwesi and Kwamaqxaki and steadily positioned ourselves in the formal housing sector. We started building houses in Lovemore Heights, Summerstrand, Bluewater Bay, Overbaakens, Sherwood, Kabega Park. These were individual houses built on a plot and plan basis. The clients got their bonds approved, and paid us as the building progressed. We acquire the land, have it surveyed and rezoned to the appropriate zoning, sub-divide it into erven and design and install all services and construct the units, therefore providing a complete service with an in-house architect, lawyers (Goldberg & De Villiers and Rob Mc WIlliams Attorneys and Conveyancers) sales team that does our marketing and obtains the bonds for our clients. We are members of the NHBRC Membership No 21. We have an excellent track record with all the major suppliers and financial institutions, are liquid and able to arrange development bond finance should it be required. If we were to select a single reason that clients return to us to build their new projects, it would be our dedication to quality. Every member of the team, from management through to our workers in the field, brings a personal commitment to top quality work at every step in the process.Worthy Homes strive to build productive relationships founded on trust. We will make the best possible effort to earn the respect and appreciation of every client.Worthy Homes undertake to do their best in quality and finishes. We have been around forever, which says it all!
