Since Aug. 22, 1954, the WPTV team has dedicated itself to serving the members of the South Florida community. We write, create and broadcast more than 40 hours of local news each week across multiple channels. The WPTV team recognizes our viewers as smart, savvy and self-reliant news consumers. Scripps Company, we live out the mission to give light and let the people find their own way. WPTV is the dominant No. 1 station in the market. It also has a shared services agreement with Raycom and provides news content on the local Fox affiliate WFLX Fox 29. The counties of Palm Beach, Indian River, St. Lucie, Martin, and Okeechobee make up the television market. It’s a vibrant, growing, diverse region that offers a fertile business environment combining a refined as well as a laid-back culture for living and working. West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Port St. Lucie and Fort Pierce are some of the region’s largest cities. West Palm Beach is located an hour north of Miami and two and half hours south of Orlando.
