Established in 1981 as The Women's Therapy Centre Institute, WTCI offers innovative clinical training based on contemporary relational theory and intersectional feminist thought. Today, as we celebrate our 40th anniversary, our desire and capacity to evolve as a feminist organization is reflected in changing our name to WTCI. WTCI's vision is based on the belief that a person's socioeconomic position, racial construct, self identity, ethnicity, and access to power is integral to psychological development. Through education and a commitment to social activism, WTCI holds a unique place at the nexus of the psychotherapy community, feminist movements, and the public at large. At our core, we are a Feminist Relational Psychotherapy training institute, offering a two-year postgraduate training program and many other educational opportunities to practitioners and the public. Our mission is to amplify an intersectional feminist voice within the evolving dialogue of contemporary relational theory.
