The Stickradt Media Group and www.northoaklandsports.com was founded in December, 2009, by veteran sports journalist Daniel Stickradt. The site, a sports-only, on-line only newspaper, covers multiple Detroit suburbs on the northern tier and provides in-depth coverage for local high schools, colleges and club and youth sports, plus minor league soccer, sports medicine, sports business reviews, and other noteworthy sports events regionally. The site has already reached some 40,000 unique visitors, most in Michigan, with over 2.5 million hits and 900,000 page views, as of mid-December, 2009 through October, 2010. The SMG will be a sportswriting and editing firm which will be seeking clients in 2011.
