Our mission is to be an independent promoter of the Village of Port Byron by… Promoting local businesses and organizations. Showcasing village activities, events and attractions. Creating a public forum for residents of the community.Our biggest attraction is one of the world's great rivers – the Mississippi. The river plays an important role in Port Byron and is a vital component of the village's main event of the year, the Great River Tug Fest.Port Byron is home to a variety of businesses. You'll find something good to eat or drink at our friendly establishments along Main Street, most are an easy walk from our public boat docks if you're coming by boat.Port Byron is small town America in the heart of the Midwest with the Mississippi River as our front yard. Life here is a little slower and a little more laid back than what you might find in a bigger city.
