Wyvernwood is a new adventure park set to open in Spring 2022, located on the outskirts of Colchester in North Essex.The park named, "Wyvernwood" - in reference to the mythological Wyvern dragon and local Wivenhoe, is an enchanted themed adventure park focusing on families with children aged 2-12. Wyvernwood is set on a 20 acre site, in a magical woodland setting and will comprise several play zones made from natural wooden structures including the Enchanted Castle, Goblins' Tunnels, Magic Wishing Well, Adventure Trail and Wellbeing Woods.Visitors to the park will enter via a magic portal where they will be transported into an enchanted kingdom and interact with the Wyvernwood story and characters. Wyvernwood will offer a natural play experience in a beautiful outdoor setting, encouraging a digital detox for families, the opportunity to connect with nature and engage with the magical Wyvernwood story and characters.The Wyvernwood founding team has significant experience opening and running National visitor attractions across the UK including Hamleys, the London Dungeon, Spinnaker Tower and Cirque Du Soleil.The ambition is for Wyvernwood to grow into one of East Anglia's leading family visitor attractions.
