Innovations in catheter-based therapies are helping a wide variety of patients; however, the rates of bleeding complications and failure of the percutaneous vascular closure devices remain high, especially for the rapidly growing large-bore catheter-based procedures such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), percutaneous endovascular aortic aneurysm repair (PEVAR), and cardiac support with percutaneous Ventricular Assist Device (pVAD). We are developing the xCinch Access Management System that provides bloodless access site management along-with fast and superior hemostasis for a wide range of large bore catheter sizes.
