Xomonnoy is a queer intersectional feminist group, formed in November 2018, that provides support to the LGBTQ+ community though interventions, referrals and community building. We aim to mobilise and connect the queer community of Assam, to identify and create queer leaders as well as to engage with various stakeholders in the state. In February 2021, we have set up Assam's first space/ drop-in centre for the LGBTQIA+ community. We also conduct events that are targeted towards sensitization of lgbtia+ rights. We also conduct documentation and provide SRHR support. in the past year, we have been providing essential help to the queer community throughout the pandemic.
