It was 2009 and the Ford Motor Company of Australia, an iconic automobile brand was looking for experts who could seamlessly revamp their existing satellite based training system—Fordstar. However, finding the right Internet based solution provider in an overcrowded market was an arduous task. Several organizations, including incumbent Optus, were delivering satellite-based training to both Australia and New Zealand based dealerships. But, Ford wanted to break out of its traditional business model and explore other opportunities to accelerate its growth.While Ford was still figuring out its strategy, at the other end of Melbourne, Australia, a group of enthusiasts showcasing their skills and expertise founded xpertCast in 2009 to serve Ford's Internet systems and to provide both live interactive and 'On-Demand' training solutions.
