ABOUT XYC XYC Design + Development was founded to undertake design, development and construction on challenging urban sites. XYC approaches projects with the belief that a multi-faceted understanding of the design, construction, and operation of buildings can result in exceptional architecture, a more vibrant urban experience, and a superior long-term investment. ABOUT M2 M2, a small development site in Calgary's East Village, presents a great opportunity for XYC to apply this philosophy. ABOUT KATE MACGREGOR Kate MacGregor, President of XYC Design + Development, is a contemporary designer who has worked for and studied with some of the top young architects in New York. She approaches real estate development from a technical and creative background; she completed her Civil Engineering degree at the University of Calgary, and followed with a Master of Architecture from Columbia University. Having worked at award-winning architecture firms in New York City, she is excited to bring her technical experience, her love for urban living, and a passion for design and architecture back to her hometown, Calgary, through XYC.
