Y Tu Tambien, a La Unidad Latina Foundation program, increases access to higher education for Latinos, 1st generation students, minorities, and any student in need. Since 2014, we've provided free college application workshops, mentorship, and networking events to NYC High school students. We provide help with all college applications and help students find the school that is the right match for their interests while encouraging them to strive for the best this country offers in higher education. It is key to our mission that all our programs must always be offered at no cost to students and schools so that there is never a barrier between students and higher education.As all our services are free to students and parents, all we ask of students is that when they are ready, they come back as serve as mentors for our organization. This program was born out of Yale Day of Service event, hosted by the Yale Latino Alumni Association. We believe in giving back to our communities, and ensuring that there are no financial barriers between students and high-quality college preparation.
