Our managing editor, Neil Ashton has had a keen interest in sailing for most of his life. Neil attended sailing lessons at Marina Da Gama in Muizenberg, Cape Town in the early 1970's, as an eight year old. Subsequently he has sailed a multitude of different yachts, from dinghies to keelboats, both competitively and socially. Since 2012 Neil has been sharing his passion for the sport, teaching youngsters to sail on the weekends at Theewater Sailing Academy.
